Privacy Policy

Setpaid ("we," "us," or "our") helps personal trainers run their business. This policy explains, in plain terms, what information we handle and why. If you don't agree with it, please don't use the app.
Two kinds of information
It helps to separate two things:
- Your information (the trainer). This is your account — your name, email, login, and your subscription billing. We decide how this is handled, so for this information we're the "controller."
- Your clients' information. This is the client and session data you enter to run your business. You decide what's collected and why — you're the controller, and we just process it for you, following your instructions. The details are in our Data Processing Addendum.
What we collect
- Account info: your name, email, phone, and password, when you sign up.
- Client info you enter: your clients' contact details, session records, and invoice and payment status.
- Billing info: we don't store full card numbers. Card details for your subscription are handled by Stripe; your clients' card payments are handled by your own connected Stripe account.
- Google Calendar: only if you connect it (see below).
How we use it
- Create and manage your account.
- Email you about your account and the Service.
- Charge your subscription and handle billing questions.
- Help you generate invoices for your clients.
- Schedule and track sessions, including on your Google Calendar if you connect it.
Google Calendar
If you connect Google Calendar, we read and create events only to manage your training schedule. We don't use Google data for advertising and we don't sell it. We only share it with the service providers that help us run the app (see the sub-processor list in our Data Processing Addendum) or where the law requires. Setpaid's use of information from Google APIs follows Google's API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use rules. You can disconnect anytime.
Who we share with
We don't sell your information. We share it only with the companies that help us run the app (see the sub-processor list in our Data Processing Addendum) and when the law requires it or to protect people's rights and safety.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to sign you in, keep the app secure, and remember preferences like your timezone. We don't use advertising or analytics tracking cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.
Security
We use sensible security measures — keeping each account's data separate, encrypting sensitive credentials, and limiting access. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your information, or to object to how it's used. You can export your data and close your account anytime from your account settings, or contact us to make a request. For your clients' information, those requests usually go through you as the controller, and we'll help.
Keeping data
We keep information only as long as needed to run the Service, meet legal and tax requirements, or resolve disputes. When it's no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
International transfers
We're based in the United States, so your information may be processed here or wherever our providers operate. If information about people in the EU or UK is involved, we rely on a lawful transfer method — see the Data Processing Addendum.
Changes
We may update this policy. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date above.
