Terms of Service

These Terms are the agreement between you and Setpaid (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to them. Please read them, along with our Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, Refund & Cancellation Policy, and Cookie Policy.
1. Your account
Give us accurate information when you sign up, and keep it current. You're responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your password safe.
2. What the Service does
Setpaid helps personal trainers manage clients, schedule sessions, and send invoices. It can connect to Google Calendar for scheduling and uses Stripe for payments.
3. How payments work
There are two separate money flows, and it's important to understand the difference:
- Your clients paying you. You connect your own Stripe account, and your clients' invoice payments go straight to you through it. We never receive, hold, or control your clients' money. Your use of Stripe is governed by your agreement with Stripe.
- You paying us. You pay a subscription to use the Service (see section 4), which we charge through our own Stripe account.
4. Subscription, trial & billing
New accounts include a 30-day free trial — no credit card required — and there is no free tier. To keep full access after the trial, you subscribe by adding a payment method. Once you're subscribed, your plan renews automatically (monthly or yearly, depending on your plan) until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your billing settings; you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for, then your account becomes read-only. If you don't subscribe by the time your trial ends — or a later payment fails — your account becomes read-only until you subscribe or the payment goes through. 5. Acceptable use
Please use the Service responsibly and follow our Acceptable Use Policy. You're responsible for the client information you enter and for having permission to use it.
6. Google Calendar
If you connect Google Calendar, you let us read and create events to help manage your schedule. We only use that access for the Service's scheduling features — never for advertising, and we don't sell it. You can disconnect anytime.
7. Your data
You can export your data or close your account at any time from your account settings. How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, and how we handle your clients' data on your behalf is in our Data Processing Addendum.
8. Ending your account
You can cancel anytime (section 4). We may suspend or close your account if you seriously break these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or if we must to protect the Service or others. We'll give notice where we reasonably can. When your account is closed, your right to use the Service ends.
9. Service "as is"
We work hard to keep the Service reliable, but it's provided "as is," without warranties. We don't promise it will always be available or error-free.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Setpaid is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service.
11. Indemnification
You agree to cover us for claims, losses, and reasonable legal costs that arise from your use of the Service or your breach of these Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms. For significant changes we'll try to give at least 30 days' notice. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.
